Dani Alves Arrested on Charges of Sexual Assault

The Barcelona court has agreed to arrest former Barcelona and Brazil national team footballer Dani Alves without the possibility of bail. This is reported by El diario de Sevilla.

One of the girls accused the athlete of touching her without consent. According to the victim's account, Alves approached her at a party in a nightclub and put his hand underneath her underwear. After managing to get away from the footballer, she informed her friends and the security staff of the nightclub, who contacted the Catalan police.

The alleged incident took place on December 30 in one of the nightclubs. Alves himself denies the course of events as described, and he is supported by his wife and people around him who noted that he had been in the nightclub for a very short time.

Dani Alves currently plays for the Mexican team Pumas. Previously, he played for Barcelona.
