German Wintershall Dea Oil and Gas Company to Leave Russia
The German oil and gas company Wintershall Dea is set to exit Russia and withdraw from its assets in the country. This was stated in a message posted on the holding's website.
According to the text, the supervisory board of Wintershall Dea has confirmed the principal decision to leave Russia.
The message also indicates that continuing operations in Russia has become inappropriate. The company's head, Mario Mehren, attributed this decision to the 'economic alienation of joint ventures' due to the restrictions imposed in the Russian Federation.
