Zakharyan Comments on Rumors of Replacing Russian Citizenship with Armenian Citizenship
Arsen Zakharyan, midfielder for Moscow's Dynamo and the Russian national team, has commented on the rumors regarding the replacement of his Russian citizenship with Armenian citizenship. This was reported by Gazeta.ru.
“Are there talks about changing citizenship? There’s nothing to change. I saw this myself on the internet. It’s just some sort of filler; I haven’t done anything. I don’t have such thoughts now,” the footballer was quoted by Sport-Express.
It is worth noting that last summer, Chelsea in London had offered £12.6 million for the 19-year-old midfielder, but the transfer did not go through due to the restrictions imposed on Russian football over the past year.
