Armenia Appeals to The Hague Court Regarding the Lachin Corridor
Armenia has appealed to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague, requesting the court to compel Azerbaijan to unblock the Lachin Corridor, as reported by the court's press service.
According to the documents sent by the Armenian side, Azerbaijan has blocked the only road connecting 120,000 ethnic Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh with the outside world, and there are no signs that this blockade will be lifted in the near future.
In this context, within the framework of proceedings regarding the application of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination between the two countries, Armenia has asked for interim measures to be implemented, imposing obligations on Azerbaijan to lift the blockade and ensure the free movement of all individuals, vehicles, and cargo through the Lachin Corridor.
