«We Do Not Plan to Run After the West»: Lavrov
Western countries will soon lose their ability to lead the global economy, stated Sergey Lavrov, the Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation, during a meeting with leaders of Russian media outlets.
“I assure you that in the near future we will witness a decrease in the capabilities of the West,” the diplomat said.
Lavrov emphasized that the West has severed almost all relations with Russia. According to him, Moscow has partners with whom it should collaborate in the economic, social, cultural, and sports sectors.
“We have stated more than once that we do not plan to run after the West and will focus on those who have never disappointed us and with whom we have sometimes reached very difficult compromises. Everything is exactly the opposite with the West,” Lavrov added.
