Pashinyan Also Discussed the 907 Amendment: Political Scientist on the Pashinyan-Sullivan Phone Call
Political scientist Suren Sargsyan has presented the details of the Pashinyan-Sullivan phone call.
“Yesterday morning, I informed that a high-level phone conversation between Armenia and the United States was expected. This was regarding the Sullivan-Pashinyan phone call that took place yesterday evening. Biden's national security advisor held a discussion with both Pashinyan and Aliyev. Sullivan expressed concern about the recent tensions between Armenia and Azerbaijan and emphasized that military movements near undefined borders are irresponsible and provocative. He welcomed the ongoing communication between the two sides and the commitment of both leaders to resolve this issue peacefully. Furthermore, he highlighted the importance of conducting official discussions for demarcating their international borders.” This is the official part from the American side.
It turns out that: 1. There is direct communication between the parties. 2. The US no longer uses the term disputed. 3. According to my information, Pashinyan finally spoke about the 907 amendment as I have often mentioned its importance. 4. Pashinyan also thanked Biden for the recognition of the genocide, which I have frequently written about. 5. Notably, during the conversation, it was Sullivan who described Azerbaijan's actions as provocative, not Pashinyan,” wrote the political scientist.
