US Must Take Real Steps to Restrain Azerbaijani Aggression Against Artsakh and Armenia, Says Congressman
US Congressman Brad Sherman has expressed deep concern regarding the ongoing aggression by Azerbaijan against the Armenian people. According to a statement released by the congressman, he emphasized that Azerbaijan has closed the only road connecting Artsakh to Armenia, which is used for transporting food, medicine, and other essential goods. This blockade seriously jeopardizes the lives of 120,000 Armenians in Artsakh and the prospects for peace in the region.
“The international community must unequivocally condemn this blatant provocation and take every possible and necessary step to support the Armenian people in this critical situation. The United States, in particular, should lead such efforts and take real steps to restrain Azerbaijani aggression against Artsakh and Armenia, starting with the implementation of the Section 907 amendment,” Sherman stated.
He highlighted that, despite the challenging times for the Armenian community following the 2020 war, the Armenian people remain resilient and determined. “I will always stand with the people of Armenia and Artsakh as we continue our fight and put an end to the attacks against Armenia and Artsakh,” the US congressman concluded.
