Artsakh's Foreign Ministry Issues Statement
Azerbaijan has once again resorted to provocative actions by closing the Goris-Stepanakert highway in the Shushi area. This is yet another manifestation of Baku's genocidal policy, an unconstructive and criminal act aimed at terrorizing the people of Artsakh, creating an atmosphere of instability in the region, and obstructing the activities of the Russian peacekeeping mission.
As always, Azerbaijan shows absolute disrespect and inconsistency towards its obligations under the trilateral statement of November 9, 2020, particularly failing to guarantee the safety of the movement of citizens, vehicles, and cargo in both directions through the Lachin corridor.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh strongly condemns such behavior from official Baku and calls on the international community to take effective measures to put an end to Azerbaijan's claims against Artsakh's sovereign territories and to ensure conditions for the realization of the fundamental rights of the Armenian people of Artsakh.
