Closure of Highway by Azerbaijan Makes Transportation of Medical Supplies and Medications to Artsakh Impossible
The closure of the Stepanakert-Goris highway by Azerbaijan seriously violates international humanitarian law and aims to create a humanitarian disaster in Artsakh. This was stated in a message issued by the Ministry of Health of Artsakh.
“In the current situation, the transportation of medical supplies and medications to Artsakh has become impossible. Moreover, it has become a serious issue to transfer patients with severe health problems from Artsakh to the Republic of Armenia. We call on the international community and all humanitarian organizations to urgently take appropriate steps to resolve the current situation and prevent the impending humanitarian disaster,” the statement reads.
