“When I sometimes talk to them, I directly spoke with a few of the guys on the phone. At least, I talked to those who surprised me with their mood and attitude,” said Russian President Vladimir Putin during a meeting with the mothers of servicemen involved in the special military operation.

According to Putin, his calls to the servicemen were unexpected: “They did not expect those calls.” He noted that “these calls were also made through the mothers.” Putin also emphasized that the Russian soldiers involved in the special operation are heroes.
