Meeting Between Iran's Foreign Minister and Armenia's Deputy Foreign Minister: What Was Discussed
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian hosted Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Mnatsakan Safaryan on Sunday, as reported by the Iranian news agency IRNA.
During the meeting, Abdollahian expressed satisfaction with the developing relations between the two friendly and neighboring countries, stating that the opening of the Islamic Republic of Iran's consulate in Kapan, Armenia, was 'an important practical step by both countries towards expanding economic ties and a move towards a promising outlook.'
Safaryan, during the meeting, also referred to the recent visit of the head of Iran's foreign policy agency and the opening of the consulate in Kapan, describing it as a significant development and a turning point in bilateral relations.
He highly valued Iran's fundamental and constructive stance regarding the sovereignty of regional countries and the unchanged status of their international borders.
