"I Promise You, Such Times Will No Longer Be" - Lukashenko
The time of sanctions opens enormous opportunities for the Belarusian economy, declared President Alexander Lukashenko on Friday. The information was reported by RIA Novosti.
“Perhaps only the lazy would disagree with me today that these so-called sanctions are a time of enormous opportunities for us. I promise you, such times will no longer be! Save every penny, invest it where you need to, to achieve even greater profitability in agricultural production,” the Belarusian leader's words are quoted by the press service during a ceremonial event honoring the leaders of the agro-industrial complex.
Lukashenko emphasized that for the first time in history, Belarus produced more than one ton of grain per person.
“This is a success that I am confident has not been achieved even by the largest countries on our planet,” said the president. At the same time, the Belarusian leader expressed regret that such volumes of grain crops could not be harvested last year, when this product was in high demand.
