Video: A businessman invaded a bank in Russia with a toy grenade and demanded money
In the Republic of Buryatia, part of Russia, a 28-year-old businessman attacked a bank branch with a toy grenade. This was reported by the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, according to Gazeta.
The incident occurred at the end of August 2022 in Ulan-Ude. The man entered a bank branch, took a number, and then handed his passport to the cashier along with a written request for money. He showed her an object resembling a grenade.
The woman pressed the panic button, and the assailant, noticing this, fled the scene. In November, he was arrested. The man told the police that he committed the crime due to business-related problems and admitted that he had prepared in advance for the robbery at the bank.
No preventive measure has yet been determined for the assailant.
