‘Europe has rightly mobilized for Ukraine, but remains silent on Armenia’: French Senator

French Senator Valérie Boyer has stated on the Public Senat television channel that Ursula von der Leyen’s partnership with Azerbaijan is a disgrace. The energy crisis cannot serve as an excuse, especially when confronted with real wartime crimes. This was reported by 1lurer.am.

“France could have done more for Armenia, especially when we were presiding over the European Union. Sending observers is the minimum we could have done. Armenia’s enemies openly declare that they want to destroy Armenians. And despite this, we continue to host those leaders, and Europe is buying gas from Azerbaijan alongside Ursula von der Leyen, who claims that Aliyev is a reliable partner,” said Boyer.

According to her, Europe has been rightly mobilized for Ukraine, but remains silent on Armenia.

“Do Armenian lives matter less than Ukrainian lives? There is a corrupt and racist state of Azerbaijan that is attacking the borders of Armenia, striving to continue ethnic cleansing and genocide,” stated the French senator.
