VIDEO: Metro, Buses, and Trolleybuses to Operate Under Unified Ticketing System

In Yerevan, the metro, buses, and trolleybuses will operate under a unified ticketing system, announced the director of the "Yerevan City Management Technologies Center" LLC, Sargis Manukyan, during a city council meeting.

"The project includes both the metro and surface transportation, namely buses and trolleybuses. It is possible that in the future, intercity transportation coming into Yerevan will also join this system. The system is flexible and allows for the inclusion of other transport means operating in Yerevan. The project is extensive and is expected to take about a year for complete implementation. The competition announced will entirely involve private investment," said Manukyan.

Deputy Mayor Tigran Avinyan stated that insufficient resources are being allocated to solve this issue. "In such matters, I offer my support," he said.
