VIDEO. Accident or Sabotage? The 'Nord Stream' Gas Pipeline Has Been Damaged at Three Locations
The main Russian gas pipeline 'Nord Stream' towards Europe has experienced an accident. Both branches have been damaged in three locations simultaneously. Authorities in European countries suspect that the incident is a result of a sabotage attack. The BBC agency reminds that gas has become the principal instrument of Kremlin’s energy war against the EU.
The accident occurred amid escalating Russian aggression against Ukraine, on the eve of the start of the heating season in Europe, and just before the opening of an alternative underwater gas pipeline from Norway to Poland in the same area of the Baltic Sea.
The Danish armed forces have released photographs and videos of the incident.
