Azerbaijan Occupies Armenian Territories: Edmon Marukyan
Special envoy Edmon Marukyan stated in an interview with Public TV yesterday that Azerbaijan occupied Armenian territories on the night of September 12-13. In the context of criticizing the opposition, Marukyan noted, "On May 21, 2021, the Azerbaijanis entered the Sotk-Khoznavar area towards Lake Sevan and occupied around 45 kilometers of Armenian territory. They have occupied more territory as of last night; we will check the numbers and report how much has increased."
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia had released a statement indicating that the situation along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border remained tense during the night of September 13-14. "In particular, the adversary used strike drones in the direction of Jermuk. Although no significant incidents were reported in other directions following the aggression from the previous day, starting from 08:00 today, the adversary has resumed its offensive operations using artillery, mortars, and large-caliber firearms, particularly in the directions of Jermuk and Verin Shorja. The Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia are undertaking proportional response actions while fully carrying out their assigned combat tasks."
