Zakhrova: We Have Not Received Any Proposals from Azerbaijani or Armenian Partners
During a weekly press briefing, Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, addressed Armenian-Azerbaijani relations.
“Russia will continue to work with Armenia and Azerbaijan on the unblocking of roads. We are preparing to implement all the points of the tripartite agreement with both countries,” said Zakharova.
She also commented on the EU's initiative to regulate Armenian-Azerbaijani relations, referring to it as “fake.”
“We have not received any proposals from Azerbaijani or Armenian partners regarding the regulation of relations on the new platform offered by the EU. The EU is pursuing its ambitions in the South Caucasus and shows no positive trends in the regulation of relations between the two countries. The Europeans have fake initiatives; they shamelessly want to appropriate the laurels of success that Russia has achieved in the matter of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations,” noted the representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
