We Intend to Strengthen Russian-Armenian Allied Relations – Russian Foreign Ministry
The Russian Foreign Ministry has issued a statement in connection with the 25th anniversary of the signing of a bilateral agreement, stating that the strengthening of Moscow-Yerevan ties serves the vital interests of the peoples and the stability of the South Caucasus.
"The past period has convincingly shown that the further strengthening of historical ties between Moscow and Yerevan fully corresponds to the vital interests of our peoples and serves the goals of socio-economic development of both countries and the consolidation of stability in the South Caucasus," the statement reads.
The statement also highlights, "We sincerely value our friendship with fraternal Armenia and are intent on strengthening Russian-Armenian allied relations for the prosperity of our countries and peoples." It mentions that Moscow considers the treaty on friendship, cooperation, and mutual assistance between Russia and Armenia as an important milestone on the path to elevating bilateral cooperation to a genuine allied level.
