Germany's Aim is to Ensure Ukraine Can Defend Itself for a Long Time, Scholz

The Chancellor of Germany, Olaf Scholz, has promised Ukraine new modern weapons in the coming weeks. This information is reported by RIA Novosti.

“In the coming weeks and months, Ukraine will receive new modern weapons from us, including air defense systems, radar systems, and reconnaissance drones,” Scholz said. He added that Germany's aim is to ensure that Ukraine can defend itself for a long time.

Previously, Russia had sent a note to NATO countries about the supply of weapons to Ukraine. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov noted that any cargo containing weapons for Ukraine would become a legitimate target for Russia.
