Received Note from Russian Embassy: Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs
The Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has received a note from the Embassy of the Russian Federation and will respond according to established procedures. This was stated to 24news by the press secretary of the Ministry, Vahan Hunanyan.
It should be recalled that on August 17, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs sent a note of protest to the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Russian embassy in Armenia sent a letter to the Armenian Ministry expressing outrage over accusations directed at Russian entities regarding the tragedy that occurred at the Surmalu shopping center.
"We are outraged by the cynical materials circulating in the local information space, which contain offensive and false accusations against Russian structures regarding their involvement in the tragedy that occurred on August 14 at the Surmalu shopping center. We view this as a direct provocation by political forces behind such insinuations. The aim of all this is to disrupt Russian-Armenian allied relations. We expect steps from the Armenian authorities to suppress such unfriendly manifestations, including the necessary public comments," the letter states.
