5 Non-Combat Losses in 15 Days: Tigran Abrahamyan
I am looking at the statistics of non-combat losses in the armed forces for the first half of August, which is a tragedy for the army and the country. This was stated by Tigran Abrahamyan, a member of the "Honorary Title" faction, on his Facebook page.
“In 15 days, there have been 5 non-combat deaths. Additionally, the Defense Army has recorded 2 other fatalities at the beginning of August during Azerbaijan's initiated aggression. Around two dozen injuries due to various circumstances have also been reported in Armenia and Artsakh, including in non-combat conditions.
On the night of August 3 to 4, during sleep, reserve soldier Atom Razmik Harutyunyan (born 1978) participating in a three-month training assembly of the Ministry of Defense suddenly passed away.
On August 7, an emergency incident took place in the Gegharkunik region: around 16:00, the Emergency Situations Ministry’s Rescue Service received a call about a citizen who had drowned while swimming in the administrative area of the village of Tsovak, near Lake Sevan. It later turned out that this citizen was a participant in the three-month draft who was in the area under still unknown circumstances.
On August 7, contract serviceman Arshalouis Vrami Hovhannisyan (born 1976) from the military unit N passed away suddenly.
On August 9, in the northeastern direction of the republic, the body of conscript soldier Erik Armeni Gharsyan (born 2003) was found in the firing position of military unit N with a gunshot wound to the chest. An investigation is underway to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident.
On August 14, at around 15:20, the condition of contract serviceman Manvel Myasnik Tadeyosyan (born 1981) from military unit N sharply worsened. Despite immediate medical assistance, the soldier’s life could not be saved. A forensic medical examination has been appointed to determine the cause of death,” he wrote.
