Blinken and Cavusoglu Discuss Food Agreement
U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken has discussed the "food deal" with Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu. "I spoke with Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu and discussed efforts to unblock the export of Ukrainian grain and alleviate the global food crisis," Blinken wrote on Twitter.
It is noteworthy that on July 22 in Istanbul, a multilateral agreement was signed to lift restrictions on the export of Russian goods and support the export of Ukrainian grain. The deal, signed by representatives of Russia, Turkey, Ukraine, and the UN, provides for the removal of Ukrainian grain, food, and fertilizers from three ports, including Odesa.
