Taiwan Will Face a Major Disaster: Statement from China

The actions of Taiwan's ruling Democratic Progressive Party and its attempts to isolate the island from mainland China under the guise of foreign political forces will accelerate the collapse of the administration led by Tsai Ing-wen and plunge the region into a severe crisis. This was stated by Ma Xiaoguang, an official representative of the Taiwan Affairs Office under China’s State Council, as reported by TASS.

“We warn Tsai Ing-wen and the Democratic Progressive Party that their provocations to secure Taiwan's so-called independence with the support of foreign forces will ultimately accelerate the collapse of the current leadership on the island and throw the region into a major disaster. No individual or political force should underestimate the determination with which China will defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity,” said Ma Xiaoguang.
