It Is Necessary to Open All Logistic Routes: Cavusoglu
The Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu has stated that "it is necessary to open all logistic routes also in the South Caucasus."
“Due to Azerbaijan's glorious victory, a new geopolitical balance has emerged, where those countries that advocate for stability and cooperation in the South Caucasus are winning. We call on everyone to take advantage of this opportunity. We support the negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia regarding transportation communications, border delimitation, and peace treaty issues. We are also taking steps to normalize relations with Armenia; we are advancing special envoy negotiations and consulting with Azerbaijan,” he noted based on the outcomes of the meeting with his Azerbaijani and Uzbek counterparts in Tashkent, according to Anadolu.
Pointing to Ankara's active support in the annexation of the occupied territories of Nagorno-Karabakh and surrounding regions, Cavusoglu stated, “The new transportation lines currently on the agenda connect Central Asia, the South Caucasus, Anatolia, and Europe, contributing to the prosperity of the entire region. Once the projects are implemented, they will have a multiplicative effect in many sectors such as transportation, trade, and energy.”
