Pedestrian Accident in Vanadzor Involving a Driver from the Ministry of Defense
A pedestrian accident occurred yesterday in the Lori region. Around 11:00 AM, a 28-year-old resident of Lori, Arakel A., struck a pedestrian, 77-year-old Venera G., with his Opel vehicle on Narekatsi Street in the city of Vanadzor, according to shamshyan.com.
The driver did not flee the scene and assisted in transporting the injured pedestrian to the Vanadzor Medical Center. Information about the incident was relayed to the Lori division of the patrol police, and a team from the investigative committee of Lori arrived at the scene. It was soon established that the driver is an employee of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, and the initiated criminal proceedings have been forwarded to the military investigation department of the main investigation department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia.
