Dumanyan on the Alienation of Land in Hatis to Gagik Tsarukyan
The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, Vahram Dumanyan, is unaware of the conditions under which the 140-hectare land on Mount Hatis was alienated to Gagik Tsarukyan. Dumanyan made this statement during a conversation with reporters after a government meeting on July 14.
“I don’t know. It’s written in ‘Hetq,’ you should ask them. I don’t know how or for how many millions it was sold. You journalists know that. I don’t have details. Was only that mountain sold? Maybe there are other mountains too, why are you fixated on that particular one?” the minister noted.
In response to a reporter’s comment that the government is one cohesive organism, and one body should be aware of the other, the minister countered, “When you say one cohesive organism, what do you understand by that? That we all can interfere in everything of each other? Everyone covers their own professional field. You want to combine everyone and ask them questions of your choosing.”
