«Pressure Prevents Yerevan from Taking Bold Steps» - Cavusoglu
The main issue in the normalization of relations between Turkey and Armenia is the pressure on the authorities in Yerevan. This statement was made by Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu during a meeting with his Austrian counterpart, Alexander Schallenberg, in Ankara.
Turkish media report that he stressed Turkey's continuation of dialogue with Yerevan and its readiness to gradually advance the process. “The pressure prevents Yerevan from taking bold steps towards normalization. We are ready for constructive dialogue. The region needs long-term peace,” emphasized the Turkish minister.
Cavusoglu also noted that Turkey supports the process of normalizing relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
