34-Year-Old Driver Hits Pedestrian with BMW in Yerevan
Today, July 2, a hit-and-run incident occurred in Yerevan. Around 14:05, 34-year-old Narek Israelian struck a pedestrian with his BMW vehicle on Khanjian Street, in front of the Yerevan Police headquarters.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the driver did not flee the scene; he called for an ambulance and assisted the medical team that arrived shortly in transporting the injured individual to the 'Erebuni' Medical Center. Subsequently, the driver reported the incident to the police.
The driver underwent a sobriety test at the scene and was found to be sober. By the investigator's directive, the vehicle was taken to the secure area of the Yerevan patrol service division. The patrol service and the investigative division are working to identify the pedestrian involved in the incident.
