Coca-Cola Exits Russia
Coca-Cola HBC AG, which includes producers and distributors of Coca-Cola products in Russia, is undergoing a process of capacity reduction, Reuters reports, citing a statement from the company's U.S. headquarters.
When this process is completed, Coca-Cola HBC will "no longer produce or sell Coca-Cola and other brands of The Coca-Cola Company in Russia," the statement said.
In March 2022, American soft drink manufacturer The Coca-Cola Company suspended its operations in Russia. At that time, the company emphasized that it would continue to monitor the developments surrounding the situation in Ukraine.
Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company AG (Coca-Cola HBC) is a leading beverage manufacturer for The Coca-Cola Company in Europe and is part of the Coca-Cola system. Coca-Cola HBC AG operates in 28 countries and serves 595 million residents. Coca-Cola HBC Russia owns factories for soft drink and juice production, including in Moscow and the Moscow region, St. Petersburg, and Nizhny Novgorod.
