VIDEO: Macron, Scholz, and Draghi Arrive in Kyiv - Purpose of Visit Revealed

The President of France, Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, and Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi have arrived in Kyiv. This was announced by French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna.

The European leaders visited Ukraine to discuss the question of granting the country candidate status for EU membership, as reported by Reuters. Additionally, the purpose of the visit is to "overcome the criticism" expressed by Ukrainian authorities regarding the positions of these countries in the war with Russia.

At the same time, there is a possibility of raising the issue of increasing arms supplies. It is expected that Zelensky will "urge his guests" to send more weapons.

Victor Andrusiv, an advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, also noted another purpose of the politicians’ visit. "According to my information, Macron, Scholz, and Draghi are bringing us EU candidacy and a request to return to the negotiation process with Putin," Andrusiv said.
