Arzvik Minasyan Interrogated as Witness-Suspect
Criminal proceedings have been initiated against Armenian National Assembly deputies Arzvik Minasyan and Taron Margaryan since May 6, concerning alleged distribution of money to participants of public gatherings. This was recently announced by MP Arzvik Minasyan himself, who described the event as an outright injustice.
According to Minasyan, the criminal case was opened in Armavir and is being investigated by the Armavir Investigative Department.
Today, MP A. Minasyan was summoned to Armavir for questioning. Lawyer Sergey Harutyunyan informed that the deputy was interrogated as a witness-suspect, despite holding parliamentary immunity, which has not been overridden.
“This is political persecution that is growing larger like an avalanche. The law enforcement system's violations are gaining momentum,” stated the lawyer.
