Abramovich's €10 Million Villa Seized
The Portuguese authorities have seized a villa belonging to Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich located in the southern Algarve region. The luxury property is valued at €10 million, as reported by Publico.
Two weeks before the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Millhouse Views LLC, owned by Abramovich's holding company, allegedly attempted to sell the villa. However, this was reported to the police by a state bank, and at the request of the Portuguese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the property's registration was frozen as of March 25.
It is noteworthy that following Russia's military operations in Ukraine, the European Union and the United Kingdom imposed sanctions against Abramovich, which included restrictions on London’s Chelsea Football Club. Additionally, his assets worth $7.3 billion have been frozen in the UK, accounting for more than half of his entire fortune. Furthermore, a villa valued at $120 million was seized in France.
