“The European Union is constantly stealing gas reserves from Russia”: Volodin
The sanctions imposed by Europe against Russia are illegal, and EU countries will inevitably have to compensate for them at some point, although when and how remains unclear. This was stated by State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin on his Telegram channel.
Additionally, he accused Europe of "constantly stealing gas reserves" from Russia, taking money from the country’s budget, which means it is effectively stealing from the Russian people.
Commenting on the issue of payments for gas contracts in rubles, Volodin reminded that Europe is not the only consumer of Russian energy resources, and the country has the option to redirect these resources.
The politician suggested that EU governments show responsibility towards their citizens and avoid an energy collapse, but also noted that Moscow, "seeing the anti-Russian sentiment," does not have the desire to save Europe.
