Up to 400 Foreign Mercenaries Trapped in the Azovstal Area

The Russian army has encircled the vast territory of the Azovstal factory in Mariupol, trapping around 400 mercenaries who have arrived from various EU countries and Canada to fight alongside the Ukrainian army. This was stated in a declaration by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

According to data from Ukrainian soldiers who have surrendered, “more than 400 mercenaries have been trapped in the Azovstal area, most of whom are from Ukraine and various EU countries,” the Russian military agency noted.

Currently, Russian military personnel are conducting negotiations with them via radio communication in six different languages. The Ministry of Defense announced, “If there is further resistance, everyone will be destroyed.”
