Emergency Situations Ministry Reports Second Earthquake
On April 14, at 5:21 AM local time (01:21 AM Greenwich Mean Time), the seismic network of the Seismic Protection Territorial Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia recorded an earthquake in the Armenia-Georgia border area, 14 kilometers northeast of the village of Bavra, with geographic coordinates of 41.16°N latitude and 43.97°E longitude. The earthquake had a magnitude of 2.8, occurring at a depth of 10 kilometers.
The intensity of the underground tremor in the epicentral zone was assessed at 3-4 points. The earthquake was felt in the communities of Bavra and Saragyugh in Shirak Province, as well as in the village of Paghaghbyur in Lori Province, with a strength of 3 points.
