Lavrov on the Bucha Incidents

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has announced that the Bucha incident is a fabrication aimed at distracting attention from the fact that Ukraine has decided to withdraw from its proposals in Istanbul. This was reported by RIA Novosti.

“We have every reason to believe that this (the Bucha provocation) was done to divert attention away from the negotiating process, to distract from the fact that the Ukrainian side has started to backtrack after Istanbul and has tried to introduce new conditions. However, after the Western media disseminated the fake regarding Bucha, the Ukrainian negotiators attempted to interrupt the negotiation process altogether,” he stated during an appearance on the Russia 24 television channel.
