«I Call on You to Go to the Streets»: Ishkhan Saghatelyan
This parliament is inadequate for the current situation and challenges in the country. I have the impression that you have abandoned the primary responsibility of organizing the country's defense and security, and instead are thinking about strengthening your own power.
This was stated by Ishkhan Saghatelyan, the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly and a member of the ‘Armenia’ faction from the podium of the National Assembly.
“An extraordinary session should have been convened to discuss revising the expenditures of the state budget in a wartime situation and directing them entirely towards the defense of the country. We should have discussed the creation of a headquarters for urgent military-political issues because you are incapable of organizing the country's defense,” Saghatelyan noted.
“Therefore, I call on the citizens of the Republic of Armenia to go to the streets on the 5th of the month at 18:30 and come together in Liberty Square to discuss how to maintain Artsakh, how to defend Armenia, and to take steps and actions,” he added.
