Direct Threats to Russia Emerge from Baku
If Russia were to undertake threatening actions against Azerbaijan, Turkey would not maintain a neutral stance. This statement was made by Rasim Musabekov, a member of the Azerbaijani parliament, during an interview with the local news site Minval.
“In light of the conflict with NATO following the invasion of Ukraine, it is beneficial for serious Russian political and military figures to recall Talleyrand's (Charles Maurice de Talleyrand - the French foreign minister during the Napoleonic era) assertion that good diplomacy should not multiply the number of enemies. If Russia starts threatening actions against Azerbaijan, Turkey cannot take a neutral position,” he stated.
