Macron and Zelensky Discuss Prospects for Ending the Russo-Ukrainian War
The President of France, Emmanuel Macron, and the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, have discussed the prospects for ending the Russo-Ukrainian war during a telephone conversation. This was reported by the UNIAN news agency.
Macron reiterated his support for Ukraine and emphasized France's readiness to do more alongside European partners.
The two leaders explored various options for resolving the crisis.
Zelensky commented on his phone call with the French president in a video address, stating, “Today, I spoke with President Macron about our cooperation and the efforts to achieve peace, focusing on the liberation of our territories and the rescue of our people. I am convinced that you understand negotiations are not easy, but they are necessary because it is a matter of life. Ukraine has always sought a peaceful solution, especially now as we are concerned with establishing peace because we count each casualty, and each broken family and destroyed home matters to us, as we are Ukrainians and every human life is invaluable.”
