Instagram Blocked in Russia
The social media platform Instagram has been blocked in the territory of Russia, reports RIA Novosti.
The decision to restrict access to the platform was made by Roskomnadzor on March 11 at the request of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation. It was later announced that a final decision to block it would come on March 14.
Earlier reports indicated that the social network would be blocked on March 14 at 00:00, but according to Down Detector, users had already been reporting disruptions in the platform's operation the previous day, with mass complaints starting from 19:00 Moscow time.
