Armed Robbery at One of Yerevan's Malls: A Famous Store Looted, Large Amount of Money Stolen
Today, on March 6, an armed robbery occurred in Yerevan, involving individuals wielding knives and wearing masks. Around 12:30 PM, the Malatia division of the police received an alert that two masked individuals, equipped with knives and a weapon-like object, entered the well-known "Zara" clothing store located in the "Dalma Garden Mall" shopping center between 10:00 and 10:30 AM.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the robbers threatened an employee and stole between 2 to 2.5 million dram before fleeing the scene. The first deputy chief of the Armenian police, Colonel Aram Hovhannisyan, has arrived at the scene.
Law enforcement agencies have also arrived. A criminal case has been initiated in the Malatia investigation division based on the details of the armed robbery. The police and investigative department are conducting necessary operational and investigative measures to identify the perpetrators and recover the stolen items.
