Biden Orders State Department to Allocate $600 Million in Aid to Ukraine
US President Joe Biden has directed the State Department to allocate $600 million in aid to Ukraine, including $350 million for defense purposes, according to reports from RIA Novosti.
"Authorize the Secretary of State to provide immediate military assistance to Ukraine," states a memorandum signed by the US President.
The text of the document was released by the White House press service.
Within his authority, the US Secretary of State must decide whether it is in the interests of the United States to provide $250 million in non-repayable assistance to Ukraine, the document indicates.
