Azerbaijanis Demand in Armenian That Residents Leave Khramort, But Inhabitants Resist Provocations: Village Head
Yesterday evening, around 6 PM, representatives of the Azerbaijani armed forces broadcast a recording near the administrative borders of the village of Khramort in the Askeran region of the Republic of Artsakh, demanding that residents leave the settlement and cease all farming activities in Khramort, claiming that the area is supposedly Azerbaijani territory.
This information was shared with Infocom by the village head, Zorik Abrahamyan, who stated: “They want to exert psychological pressure to create panic among the people, that’s all. But it doesn’t affect us,” he emphasized, adding that the people intend to stay in Khramort, as they have nowhere else to go from their native village.
According to the village head, this incident marks the second occurrence of such demands since the cessation of hostilities, the first being days ago. However, there have been no gunfire, only attempts to spread panic through words. Zorik Abrahamyan reported that the situation in the village is calm at the moment, and there have been no provocations near the border as of this morning. Residents, he says, are not giving in to panic and do not plan to leave the village, which is evidence that the adversary’s propaganda provocations are in vain.
The administrative staff of the Askeran region announced that the region’s head, Hamlet Aprasyan, has gone to Khramort. Russian peacekeepers have also been informed about the situation.
Earlier, information about the events in Khramort was posted on Facebook by Tsvetana Barkhudaryan, a staff member of the Artsakh Public Television.
