State of Emergency Declared in Ukraine
The Supreme Rada has approved a decision to impose a state of emergency in Ukraine starting from February 24.
Earlier, it was reported that the Ukrainian parliament would discuss President Volodymyr Zelensky's decree to impose a state of emergency nationwide during an extraordinary session on Wednesday.
According to TASS, on Wednesday, the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine made a decision to introduce a state of emergency in the country for 30 days, excluding the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The final decision had to be confirmed by the Supreme Rada within 48 hours.
