VIDEO: Leaders of Donetsk and Luhansk Appeal to Putin

"On behalf of the entire people of the Donetsk People's Republic, we ask you to recognize Donetsk as an independent, democratic, legal, and social state," stated Denis Pushilin, the self-proclaimed leader of the Donetsk People's Republic, in a call made today, February 21.

The leader of Luhansk, Pasechnik, also requested President Vladimir Putin to recognize their republics. The leaders are asking for recognition, after which a cooperation agreement will be signed between the states. In a message directed to Putin, Pasechnik stated that there is information about Ukraine preparing for a large-scale offensive on Donbas.
