Another Earthquake in the Armenia-Georgia Border Region
On February 17th of this year, at 12:58 PM local time (08:58 AM GMT), the Seismic Protection Territorial Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia registered an earthquake in the Armenia-Georgia border area. The epicenter was located 15 km northeast of the village of Bavra, at geographical coordinates of 41.16°N latitude and 43.98°E longitude, with a depth of 10 km and a magnitude of 2.1.
The intensity of the underground shock in the epicentral zone was measured at 2-3 points. The earthquake was felt in the villages of Bavra and Saragyugh in the Shirak province, with an intensity of 2-3 points.
