The Opposition's Boycott is Under Scrutiny: 'Haykakan Jamanak'

According to the newspaper 'Haykakan Jamanak', the head of the National Assembly's Defense and Security Committee, Andranik Kocharyan, is under scrutiny due to the opposition's boycott. Reports indicate that the decisive factor in the decision to establish the committee was Kocharyan's assurances to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan that the committee would help 'cleanse' the burden of the nation-destroying war, involving opposition members to legitimize the process and prove to both the international community and domestic audience that the current government's responsibility for the defeat is minimal.

However, following the opposition's boycott, the committee essentially faces a legitimacy issue. Even at the government level, there is acknowledgment that the committee's studies and reports may lack real value and impact. This situation has led Kocharyan to hang onto Gegham Nazaryan's partial commentary as a father of a fallen soldier, expressing a desire to ask questions and attempting to imply that Kocharyan is obstructing participation.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is also dissatisfied with this fact. Meanwhile, Andranik Kocharyan is still looking for ways to persuade the opposition.
