Putin and Lukashenko Discuss US and NATO's Response to Security Proposals
Russian President Vladimir Putin has held talks with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko to discuss the situation regarding US and NATO's responses to security proposals put forth by Russia, as reported by the Kremlin press service.
“Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko. They discussed certain issues regarding the further development of bilateral cooperation, as well as the situation concerning responses from the US and NATO to Russia's proposals for long-term international legal guarantees of security,” the statement said.
It was noted that the leaders agreed to maintain further personal communications.
