Russian Diplomats Leave Ukraine
Employees of the Russian diplomatic mission are leaving Ukraine, a source informed RIA Novosti.
“According to statements from Ukrainian citizens, Russian diplomats and consular officers in Ukraine have begun to return to Russia. This is evidenced specifically by the difficulties arising during meetings at consulates and the embassy,” the source said.
According to the agency's interlocutor, against the backdrop of evacuations officially announced by several Western countries, this “suggests that Moscow has decided to pursue the same path.”
“By the way, Sergey Lavrov hinted at the likelihood of such a scenario during a press conference following negotiations with UK Foreign Secretary Elizabeth Truss,” the source recalled.
